Keauhou Village Shops
Our condo is a short walk to the
Keauhou Village Shops,
which offers more than 40 shops and restaurants as well as a movie theater.
Stores carry the latest fashion apparel and swimwear, and there are specialty shops, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and much more.
The shopping center hosts free entertainment and cultural demonstrations, including ukulele lessons, lei making classes, and hula dancing.
While Kona now has several of the mainland "big box" stores, it also offers shopping unique to the island.
The Kona Farmers Market,
open Wednesdays through Sundays is a delightful place to shop outdoors. Locally-grown produce, flowers,
hand-made arts and crafts, Kona coffee, souvenirs, and more, are available at great prices. Dozens of specialty shops also offer clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, art, and unique island crafts.
Kohala Coast Resorts
Farther north, the scenic Kohala Coast has the
Queens Market Place
at Waikoloa, which offer dining, entertainment, gourmet goodies, trendy fashion boutiques, aloha wear, Hawaiian jewelry, a day spa,
an art gallery, weekly guided tours of nearby petroglyph fields, native Hawaiian plants, and arts and crafts displays.
The Shops at Mauna Lani in the same area offer the latest fashions, luxury goods, and fine dining.
